Dr. Don's Weather is designed to fill the gap in severe weather coverage between major television markets. Dr. Don (Don Strength) spent over 25 years of his career in broadcast radio and television. His niche has always been Severe Weather Coverage.
There is a void in coverage between the Birmingham market and the Atlanta market. Randolph, Clay, Cleburne, Chambers, Tallapoosa, Lee, Carroll, Heard and Troup Counties of East Alabama and West Georgia simply don't get the same coverage as the millions of people in the metro areas of Birmingham and Atlanta. That's where Dr. Don's knowledge of Weather and Emergency Management become vital.
Don began posting warnings and weather information on Facebook over 10 years ago. With the advanced technology of the past few years, it is now possible to live stream the same quality coverage as he once provided on local radio and television. Below you will find two examples of live streaming coverage which aired during the tornado threat on Palm Sunday of 2019.
